Notes From Her Outdoors

I love the great outdoors. There's a lot out there to keep me fascinated.

Throughout 2010 I attempted to blog every new thing I saw as it came into season, wandered past me, or was found hiding in a sneaky niche.

Now I have the task of naming all the life I recorded - life was never sweeter.

This year I'm recording the things that catch my eye. and hopefully, will catch yours too.

Wish me luck, I'm going out!

Sunny Sunny Morning

Walked in with MeWally this morning. Saw a pair, or is it brace, of Red Legged Partridges. They were too distant to take a shot at...sorry, of.  Did get these in the bag, take a look . There's nothing like an English Spring
.

Translucent  Beech .leaves

and Hazel.

Bracket Fungus on Beech.

The watering hole. It's high on the hill side and no more  than a scrape that fills from a seeping spring. A great place to watch for wildlife.

The tumps of grass up her are young and lush and have been nibbled by hungry animals.

Bird of Prey pellet. Don't know the bird with out identifying the contents. Sadly no time for that today. Regular spot for roosting, judging by all the other decaying pellets near bye.

Irises in bud

Blackthorn/sloe blossom.
