A mixed bag of goodies, all spotted over the last 3 days - ENJOY.
One of my customers' cats brought in this mole. My customer had chucked it onto the compost heap - the mole that is, not the cat. I love MOLES, and when I was a child, had one as a pet. I found it somewhere, it was perfect, so I took it home, put it in one of my spare rabbit hutches (I bred rabbits as a youngster) and told my parents .... proudly. Mum came and took a look. She pronounced it dead. At about 8 years old, I felt I knew better, even though it hadn't moved at all since I had picked it up and brought it home. After a week, the smell and continued stasis told me what I had always suspected; MUM KNOWS BEST : )
I love this all new SPIDER. All new to me, that is, I'll ISPOT it soon . Sorry this piccy has spun itself, but I guess it makes no difference to the spider!
CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW - PAINTED LADY. This garden by KEW had a mass of bees - 5 species ... and this butterfly zipping about all over it.
And finally, last but not least, a CORNUCOPIA OF SNAILS! Gathered as I worked in a customers garden. FUN HUH?
